I got a 2.03 first semester and I want to transfer. The schools I want to transfer to want a 2.5. Is it possible to still get in? I would have gotten in right out of HS, but my gpa isn't high enough. If they ask for a mid-semester grade report and my grades are good enough can i still get in?

Is this the first semester of your freshman year?

2.5 is like the cut-off for you to even be considered, if you’re a freshman then the best thing to do is stay longer and raise your GPA.

The admission is rolling so I can apply after next semester. If I can get a 3.0 or better and have a cumulative gpa over 2.5 will I have a chance?

I agree with hellosquareone.

I was in that same position my freshman year. Unfortunately, I couldn’t transfer like I planned too. Now I have a gpa in the 3’s after a horrible first year. I worked really hard and am applying to transfer for the fall semester now.

Word of advice:
Even though schools say 2.5 is the minimum, you should aim for a 3.0. The higher the better.
