Transfer with low GPA. Could I get in?

I currently go to college in Vermont and I'm in my first semester of my junior year now. I haven't had the greatest college career to say the least. I was on academic probation first semester of my sophomore year, but worked off of it. Had a tough spring semester, and now I'm back on it. I've hovered around the 2.0 GPA (1.7-2.7) my whole college career with most semesters being around 2.0. I realized that I'm just not happy at my current school cause I'm not studying what I want because my major doesn't focus on what I want to do in the field. Also, I'm just wasting time and my parents money here (the distance doesn't help either). I have a bunch friends who go to Rowan University in my home state (New Jersey) and they love it there, they have the program I want, and I want to transfer there. They say you need a 2.5 to transfer and I obviously don't have that. Even with my low GPA, does anyone think I could get in as a transfer? They need the application by November 1st so I can't send this semester grades even if I do really well...

If 2.5 is the bare minimum then you probably have 0 chance. It’s basically the cut-off meaning they will not even bother looking at applicants with less than a 2.5. I don’t know how it works on the east coast but that is my best guess.

Don’t waste your money. If you had a better GPA, I would say you should apply, but I agree with the person above.

Zero chance.

You could always call them to find out for sure!
