Allie- thx for ur reply. But I heard sociology is "impacted" major at UCLA datz y im concern.

item the first- please, please don't say 'datz' because i'm pretty sure UCLA would revoke any possible admission if they were to find out.

item the second- you're welcome. it may be impacted, but its only mildly so. I know people who've gotten in with less. I wouldn't worry about it.

thx for ur info.

I've met someone with a 3.5 and sub-1700 SAT score. Does that make you feel better about your chances?!

Nope. It does not, :(. my SATS are around that range, but still they would be higher if I actually had prep time.

allie- I talked to one of the counselor and she told me I hav a bad chance by not completing one pre-req course by spring!!!! R u sure?!!!

Again, im just telling you what i know based on who i know and how they got in. At any rate, its kind of too late since you've already applied. I still maintain that your chances are good.

And really, i wouldn't put too much cache into what CC counselors say. three different counselors told me i was likely not to have gotten in, and one counselor didn't even know how to properly calculate my gpa and was going to tell ucla i had a 3.4 when i had almost a 3.9. they're not the be all, end all.

Same goes with high school counselors. There are a few who make me shake my head...

allie- yah! i shouldnt really worry about wat my counselor said. Also, did u transfer from CC and r u at LA currently? wat major?

yes, comm studies. i would never give advice on something i didn't do myself.

The courses are really hard compare to CC huh? Do u like da campus and classes etc.?

i got in with a 3.3 and a 2060

EE major
