<p>If in-state, you must have a minimum UC GPA of 3.0. For OOS, the mimimum is 3.4. Having the mimimum GPA will not guarantee admission to any UC. If you google the common dataset for each UC, you can the % accepted applicants for each unweighted GPA range and the SAT/ACT scores. </p>

<p>i am in state and i have a 3.5 UC gap and a 2300 SAT score. I have really good extracurriculars. (multiple club presidents, 10 years of music, and play sport, and 300 volunteer hours. I have a story behind my poor gpa and i plan to adress that in my essay next year (but not as a sob story). What are my chances at schools like UC Davis, or Irvine. or any other of the uc’s</p>

<p>Depending upon how your EC’s and essays are viewed by admissions, I think you have a decent chance at the Mid-tier and Lower tier UC’s. UCSD/UCLA/UCB will be very tough. Good Luck.</p>
