Lowest GPA ever to get into Ross?

To any current or former UM Students, what's the lowest GPA that you've ever heard of getting into Ross? I just applied and I'm concerned that my 3.41 just won't cut it... despite having really strong essays and EC's. I also took a lot more challenging classes than my Prospective-Ross Peers....

So what's the lowest you've heard? Were there any special circumstances for why he/she got in with it?

KyleTwentyEleven told me that he got into Ross with a surprisingly low GPA… I want to say 3.1 or 3.2, but I don’t remember for sure. I don’t think he had any special circumstances, but he told me he bombed Calc and he was a marketing major, so Ross probably cut him some slack for that.

I know one 3.2 but that’s a fluke. You need at least a 3.4-5 to be competitive pretty much. Above a 3.65-3.7 is much better. Still gotta write good essays and be involved.

^maize is pretty much right. I think the best way to word it is that unless you have over a 3.5 GPA, your GPA will start to hurt your overall application. If you don’t have over a 3.0 you have a 0% chance. However, I don’t think that Ross differentiates at all between someone with a 3.7 vs someone with a 3.9, at that point it’s all about your other two parts of the application (ECs, essays). If you have lower than a 3.4 you better have damn good essays and ECs or else you have no chance.

Pat you’re not completely right about my stats but you’re close enough. If anyone has any questions feel free to PM me.

Yeah, I heard from one of my essay readers, who has worked with Ross Admissions, that as long as you have over a 3.0 you should be fine if you have a great essay. But as expected, I’m sure your essays must be amazing.
