I actually got rejected in Stern with a SAT score of 2150, SAT II were like 650 and 680 both in math. Good essays, very involved in school activities.
I don't know what really happened, I would say I was really into the "usual" profile, the only thing that isn't was that I am from Mexico but I didn't even needed financial aid, so at the end it was all kinda funny.

I'll just wait for the other universities letters, and congratulations to everyone that got accepted into NYU!!

I've only received an invitation at this point. I can't say whether or not you've been rejected or waitlisted, but if you were accepted, you theoretically should have received an invitation by now as well; that's not to say your application wasn't one of last to be finalized this week or that an invitation for you isn't lost in the mail. There can be many reasons why you haven't heard from Gallatin but may have been accepted - there's still hope!

I got into GSP with an 1850 SAT, but I think my GPA kind of made up for my SAT. I have a 4.0UW and 4.68W. My SAT II scores were much better too. 760Spanish, 610 US History, and 680 Literature.

Got off the waiting list and into steinhardt with...

3.34 W, 3.2 or something UW
1900 SAT
SATIIs: 630 M1, 650 Chem, 560 Bio
Have a D (yes I actually got one of these) in an AP US history class, but it's not as relevant to my major
it's probably because I'm a minority in my program (nutritional science), I'm a guy + I'm asian

I am a high school junior. My GPA is 3.3. At school, I am secretary of Asian Culture Club, I am in the Episcopal (diocese of Massachusetts) Diocesan Youth Council which means I have a vote concerning where our funds go, and how our church views things. I was a part of the Youth Leadership Academy and traveled to El Salvador to learn more about their culture and hang out with them. I speak 5 languages. At home, I speak Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. At school, I take AP French (which is THE HARDEST THING IN THE WORLD. DON'T DO IT, SERIOUSLY). I take Honors Chinese, which challenges my writing ability. This is my first year of Spanish at school, however, I skipped year 1 and I am taking year 2 of Spanish. I am the first person in my family EVER to go to college. I have work experience and have yet to take my SATS. If i do well on my SATS, what are my chances at going to NYU?

i guess... i thought it was simply advised to take the subject test for nyu but found out after the fact that it was required. my guess is that, that is the reason i was only accepted into the liberal studies program which is only a two year program. after the two years, if you have above a 3.0 they accept you in the regular four year program.

Got into Stern with 800 in Math, 700 CR, 600 in Writing (weird huh?[not rounded btw] ) SAT II math II - 790 Physics -780. 4.4-4.5 weighted GPA, 3.95 unweighted (app), full IB, not that many extracurriculars. Think it was probably the essay that got me in tho- wrote about technical analysis in the Forex market lol.
