My S received admission to Loyola Chicago along with the Damen Scholarship (23K/year). Not sure if this is amazing yet as we haven’t received the whole package (including Federal financial aid and/or other grants he may qualify for) and tuition alone is around 45K. Our family has no money saved for college so anything missing In the end will have to be a loan. We are considering community college for his first 2 years as he qualifies for their STAR scholarship and it would be tuition free for put to 3 years following high school graduation (includes books and fees).
Any personal experience with the school, especially the music department and environmental studies? Is this a good offer? Any insight/advice would be appreciated.
