yeah i know it's early but I wanted to know how generous loyola is with Schollys, I hear they're good about it but I wanted to hear about experiences of people here. I like a lot about loyola. My family probably will not qualify for much, if any need based financial aid, but at the same time my dad is not ready to fork down 50k a year. I have a 4.2 W, 3.6 UW, with a 1930/1260 on my SAT (I just took it again and Im sure I did a lot better on the math and writing, if they count that) Also I go to a jesuit high school for whatever thats worth. I hear that the school is very focused on community service and I've done a lot of that in high school, tons of tutoring underprivileged kids + CCD tutoring and I've gone on a couple service/mission trips to Latin America. Just wanted to know about people's experience. I really hope that I can get a solid scholarship, I really like the atmosphere at this school!

My DS is a senior and loves Loyola! He is in the Honors Program and a Presidential Scholar. I know when he applied a 1350 CR & M or higher is what they looked for with the Presidential Scholarships. Grades and course rigor were important. A slightly lower standardized test score also landed scholarships with strong grades. I believe Loyola also offers scholarships for Jesuit prep school graduates. Good luck to you. Loyola is a special place.

alright thanks for the info, I have taken five Ap’s in the last three years and a buttload of honors, hopefully that helps!
