LSA Honors vs. RC

Can someone compare the Honors Program of LSA and the Residential College? I don't know which one to apply for.

Ditto; I'm pretty clear on Honors program but I don't understand the residential college.

But as for application, as far as I know, you don't have to apply for the honors program; every applicant is automatically considered and I think the percentage is somewhere around 10% of admitted are honors. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And could someone please explain residential college?

What I've heard personally from an admissions officer is that honors program takes the top 5 percent of accepted students. So, out of approx. 6000 students who are accepted, 300-350 are accepted into the honors program.

It's quite competitive.

yeah, but Honors isn't that different from the rest of LSA, whereas RC is. I'm curious about RC, too. No one seems to know anything about it other than it is very exclusive.

well, I checked off the box on the app that asks if you want to be considered for RC so I guess I'll see how it goes from there.

More details would be nice, though.

Keep bumping this till we get an answer?
