LSA transfering to Ross: tips/courses to take

I’m going to be a freshman at UMich LSA (Honors College) in Fall 2018 and I’m strongly interested in applying to transfer into Ross during my freshman year. Any tips on what courses to take and what extracurriculars to get involved in? So far my planned schedule looks like this:

Fall 2018
-Stats 250
-Psych 111
-Bio 171
-Honors 231

Winter 2019
-Math 115
-Econ 101
-Bio 172
-First year writing

I took AP Macro and got a 4, but I’m not sure if that counts for Econ 102 or anything at UMich (or if they’ll even see that on my transcript). I was also wondering about extracurricular that Ross might be interested in, since they won’t be considering any of my high school grades/activities. Are there any specific leadership/business oriented activities or clubs/projects on campus that I should look into which would help my chances at transferring? Thanks!

Take two semesters of econ. Is Math 115 calculus? Calc is a prereq for Ross admission. Here are the requirements" https://michiganross.umich.edu/programs/bba/application-requirements/cross-campus-transfer

Why are you taking biology? It’s extremely tough, it’s not related to business, and it can materially lower your GPA. Take Econ instead of bio fall semester. Take a history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, or political science class instead of bio winter semester.

My son is in engineering but cross transferred from lsa this year. He wants to minor in business. He did two outstanding lsa group that are directly related to business. This summer he has been doing research, attended a week long business intensive and working with a graduate student to oversee their work. They won a $10,000 grant from https://lsa.umich.edu/bli

They started a tech group and got another $5,000 grant through

They just took a chance on themselves. As you can see University of Michigan has amazing resources, Alumni etc. Alumni have help in this process. If you want it… Go for it. There are a lot more groups to join. Ross wants to see a few that you are actually involved with to a meaningful level.
