LSU class of 2025

All applicants (no invitation needed) are considered for these scholarships as long as you turn in applications by a certain date.

To become a finalist, you need an invitation.

Thank you!!! We hadnā€™t looked on the admissions portal in a long time because we didnā€™t think there was anything left to see on there.

I also finally heard back from admissions today & they said Eye of the Tiger is more like ā€œa day in the life of a studentā€ & Destination LSU is more like an open house. So, they said you canā€™t go wrong with either one & actually recommended attending both, if possible.

There will be 4 Destination LSU dates altogetherā€¦2/26, 3/20, 4/17 & 4/24. I believe this coming Friday is the last of the Eye of the Tiger dates. But donā€™t quote me on that.

I did see that and we considered switching to that one. But we are scheduled to attend another school and it would have caused a lot of moving reservations around. So we decided to stay with the 2/19 event. How about you?

Thanks for sharing this info. If she is still undecided, we may attend the Destination LSU in March or April.

Weā€™re going to attend Eye of the Tiger on 2/19 & also Destination LSU on 3/20. LSU is his #1 choice, no matter what the rest of the schools heā€™s waiting on decide. So, if weā€™re going to commit to giving up the Zell & to the distance, we want to make sure he is sure before 5/1! He has been to the campus a few times before, but never as an admitted student with enough merit money for Mom & Dad to say yes! Also, when we went last February, he wasnā€™t feeling well AT ALL, so he was kind of out of it.

Great I guess we will see you there. Is anyone one else on this board attending 2/19?

Iā€™ll be there 3/20 from NC!

Still no admissions decision ?

We went last weekend. The day actually extends to 4 pm and it was well worth it.

Thatā€™s so great to hear! Weā€™re on the road headed there now.

We are also on our way. Looking forward to tomorrow :heavy_check_mark:

Weā€™re 125 miles into the trip & just found out Eye of the Tiger has been canceled due to severe weather!!! Turning around and going homeā€¦

That is so bad. Sorry to hear that.

No admission decision on our end. Is that necessarily a bad thing?? Iā€™m scared and frustrated.

Has anyone been awarded funding (from any sources excluding loans) that is more than the cost of attendance? Thanks.

Asked LSU the same question and received an answer.

"Good morning,

The maximum amount of Financial Aid a student could receive is their Cost of Attendance. Cost of attendance does not represent an amount you will owe to the university. COA includes tuition and fees, room and board, allowances for books and supplies, transportation, and miscellaneous/personal expenses."

Has anyone heard news of need-based aid yet?

Have not received.

I guess that will happen in March as I remember seeing a list of awards/scholarships of two applicants last year. There were 5 items but as of now my Dā€™s list only contains 3 items.

Is this the list in your portal? Are you automatically considered for some with your application? I never even saw how to apply for scholarships at LSU.

I see it was with my common app. But I donā€™t have a scholarships portal like some other schoolsā€¦where is your ā€˜list?ā€™
