Has anyone been asked to submit additional materials/essay for the LSU stamps and presidential scholarships? the online calculator indicated that my daughter should have been invited to do so, but still no word. TIA.
My daughter submitted an essay for it…it was due January 3rd.
My son also received an invitation to apply to Stamps from LSU, a few weeks ago.
do you guys mind sharing stats? the website had said that my daughter should have been eligible to submit but was never asked to :(.
UW 4.0, tied for highest GPA, 10 APs, 1570 SAT and NMF. Varsity soccer 3 years and other varied interests. He did not end up applying for Stamps.
Top 1%, 1550 SAT, 15 APs
those are great stats! is he just not interested in going to LSU after all? just curious as into why he wouldn’t apply to Stamps? (if you don’t mind sharing ofcourse)
He wants to go out of state. He applied to LSU to secure TOPS in case something weird happened later and he had to transfer back to LA.
Very disappointed was not asked to submit for LSU stamps/presidential.
Stats: UW GPA 4.0, #1 rank in class, 35 ACT, 1570 SAT, NMF, 8 APs, leadership position, and decent extracurriculars and service. Not sure what else they are looking for.
Those are great stats, vistajay! Glad to hear he was at least asked to apply for stamps as I’ve heard sometimes they pass over the in-state kids because OOS brings in more money to the school. Has he settled on where OOS or still deciding? It’s a big decision! LSU is the only in-state school on my son’s list.
Not yet! Merit hunting so will go to bitter end I am sure.
Completely understand! Good luck!!
I’d love to know how many they ended up asking to submit for Stamps/presidential for LSU. seems like there are a lot of disappointed students who felt they should have at least had a chance to write and essay/submit a resume
