Yes. You need lunch, especially if you're having difficulties without it.

Would any of your teachers allow you to eat during class? During sophomore year I didn't have a lunch at all, all year round so I ate during my classes.

If your teachers will let you eat in class, then don't bother changing. BUT if they don't, you seriously need a lunch period... If I didn't, I would die. Of sadness :]

I never go to lunch. I just eat during classes lol.

Lunch is the best part of the day you need to make room for it. If you don't have any food in your stomach how will you get the energy to work?

You're fine.
I don't get a lunch EVER. I just eat in class.

Lunch is not just about eating though. It is a little break in the day where you can relax and socialize with friends. I would never skip lunch.

...How do you end up without a lunch? I'm confused. At my school that would not have been possible at all. Is lunch its own period or something?

^

It's impossible at my school too.

We have Lunch A & B 30 mins each, 5th period. You go before 5th period or you go after 5th period.

It must be they run on a 8 period day and have a lunch period. Here we have 7 periods and you just get lunch 5th period.

^ Yeah mine worked similar to that, only we had three lunches and it was either before, in the middle of, or after fourth period (we had a 6 period day). They were 30 minutes too.

I'm not really sure how it's possible to skip lunch. I suppose it could be something like this: There are several lunch periods that fit into regular periods. For example, you could have a fourth lunch, fifth lunch, or sixth lunch. That whole period is spent on lunch. If you take classes during all those periods, you don't get lunch.

At my school, lunch is its own period, but you can't take classes over lunch. That's when everyone has lunch, including teachers. Sometimes, you can arrange to make up quizzes and whatnot during lunch, but that's not really a regular occurrence. At probably 90% of schools, you have to take lunch anyway.

Since the OP has the option, I would put it this way. If you are fine without lunch, then go ahead and take the classes you want. But if you really don't like it, then drop something. No college will see it as unreasonable to have a lunch during the day.

our school runs on the 8 period daily schedule or if you do extra research a 10 period schedule is provided. The extra 2 periods are after school and are not mandatory. There is no "lunch" period at our school it is just set up so that every student has one free period in their schedule. However if a student wants to take a class instead of lunch the student must visit their guidance counselor to explain why. All you gotta do is just say you want to take a class though so not much of a real problem. The teachers understand and dont care if you eat in their class. I do agree that lunch is all about socializing ,but we can do that in class too i guess.I have been on the 10 period daily schedule without lunch for the past two years. It really is not that bad, the transition is kind of tough though. The worst part about losing a free period is that you cant do your homework!

Don't have a lunch, instead my math portion of the day is about 2 hrs and my chem class is an 1 1/2 hr. Normal people at my school have 7 periods in a day.
Lunch isn't that great though because it's nearly impossible to fit everyone into our lunchroom, and I hate the lunchroom :)

I also never heard of having no lunch period..we have block schedule at my school,so during 3rd block, depending on where you are,you either have A,B,C,or D Lunch.
But since you seem to be struggling without it,you should drop the class that's preventing you from having a lunch period..

Don't they designate 'lunch' time at your school? To make people take classes instead of eat in school be criminally illegal.

i never went to my lunch just went to the library
