M&T vs Wharton

Does applying to M&T give you a boost for Wharton if you are not accepted to M&T?

What is the admit rate for M&T?

it says on penn’s website that they don’t look at your application any different for wharton if you get rejected for M&T.

admit rate for M&T is prob REALLY LOW, considering they only pick 50-60 college freshman a year…

from the research ive done on penn  my dream college

^ Be wary of advice from the poster above, since he himself said ‘I lack knowledge’.

Don’t worry about admit rate. Admit rate does not equal difficulty. The key to getting into dual degree programs is being A GOOD FIT. Don’t just apply to one for the prestige or because they sound cool; only do it if you’re truly passionate about the subjects. M&T is intense btw; avg GPA in engineering is generally below 3.0…

The admit rate is low.

As for “preferential treatment” for applying to M&T and then Wharton, at the Wharton information session we were told that if you are denied for M&T and reviewed for Wharton, the Adcoms at Wharton have no idea you ever applied to M&T.
