Macalester Supplement

When the Macalester supplement first appeared online, I copy/pasted the questions into a word document so I could keep a copy in my room. These questions were:

1) What factors have led you to consider Macalester College? Why do you believe it may be a good match, and what do you believe you can add to the Mac community, academically and personally? Feel free to draw on past experiences, and use concrete examples to support your perspective.

2) Because transcripts test scores and awards lists provide only a partial picture of an applicant, we want to know more! Please write an original essay to give us more than facts and figures about yourself. Feel free to focus on an experience, a philosophy or a significant event (or invent a topic of your own). Our hope is to get to know you better. How you help us do that is up to you!

Now, however, when I look I see only:

"What factors have led you to consider Macalester College? Why do you believe it may be a good match, and what do you believe you can add to the Mac community, academically and personally?

Feel free to draw on past experiences, and use concrete examples to support your perspective. Additional writing samples (e.g., class papers or creative writing) are welcomed as supplements, but are not substitutes for either essay."

Did they change their minds or something? Or did I maybe find the original questions somewhere else on the common app site?

hm, they might have changed it. but i wouldn’t worry about that now. just answer the question u see on the common app, which is the latter. i did it last week  gl!

Sounds good
