<p>Hi all, I recently got accepted in the Macaulay Honors program at Hunter College and saw that they recommended not working due to the workload. I was wondering how people pay for living expenses and transportation? Do they still get financial aid in addition to the free tuition?</p>
<p>You need to contact the financial aid office about this. If you qualify for federally determined aid and file the FAFSA, that federal aid money should be available for your living expenses.</p>
<p>Congrats! I also got into Macaulay Honors this year (for Queens College). They don’t want you to work because of the huge workload and required community service, but you can if your situation is dire. Hunter actually gives you free dorming for the first two years so cost of living shouldn’t be an issue for a while.</p>
