MacDill Air Show

I went today to the MacDill Air Show at MacDill Air Force Base. This was my first true taste of everything Air Force. I have been to plenty of Air shows before, however I have never gone to an Air show as a potential job prospect. I talked to several pilots from the Air Force. I was most impressed with this F-16 pilot from the South Carolina National Guard. He had no problem talking to me, and he informed me on a lot of things about being a pilot that I did not know. Basically, to cut a long story short going to the Air show and seeing all those amazing pieces of machinery, from a C-5 to a F-15, only motivated me more towards my goal of going to the academy. I would recommend that anyone considering a job in the Air Force should go to an Air show, because it will probably make you decide pretty quickly on what you want to achieve in life.

I was there also...It was awesome. I really liked the A-10's there. The instructor pilots were pretty cool too....are you going in for 2012? What part of Tampa are you from? I am in the Palm Harbor area

wow small world, I actually live in Bradenton. I was impressed with almost everything except for the snowbirds.

I've never been, but I live around Tampa. Give the snowbirds a break, they only fly old training jets.

Actually, I think the snowbirds show up to look at the jets that their chidlren and grandchildren fly! I must admit I have not gone to an airshow in @10 yrs..Bullet went ly b/c his parents wanted to go...afterall, when you live it everyday do you really want to go and see what you do on the weekend!

Most flyers just go to the club Friday and Sat night to hang with the crews!
