what is everyone elses thoughts?

I really like NCLS so far. Listening to Darrell Scott and Barry Bridger was awesome. Hope my introduction for Mr. Olson on Thursday night didn't sound too bad! lol. He was fun to talk to before bringing him out. Gene Kranz was great too.

Yeah. I heard about the Gene Kranz lecture. That's pretty sick.

haha hornetguy, i perked up soon as i heard your name. he was an awesome guy.

Gene Kranz, james Olson, Tom Osbourne, General Pace, SSG Stayton, Marie Tillman, and Commander Edwards were all those that i got to hear.

my favorites were sSG Stayton because of his dedication and WANT to do something more with his life.

General Pace for being a ridiculousy awesome officer, from Marine Corps infantry all the way up to the joint chiefs.

Gene Kranz, for telling his amazing stories about NASA and directing Apollo 13... amazing

James Olson, for having the dedication to serve as a spy for 31 years, and all the cool stories he told us :) ridiculous what they did... soo awesome though.

commander edwards (coast guard) for telling us more about the rescue efforts after katrina. that really hit home since i'm from the area, and i know people that they pulled off of houses and trees..made me appreciate all the different jobs and commitments that everyone has.

NCLS has been pretty awesome. definitely something to look forward to next year.. also had a great time talking to some ROTC guys that shadowed upperclassmen in our squad and get their perspective on things

I loved Mr. Olson and Lt Col. Bridger, absolutely great presentations and kept me into it all the way. They kept very enticing stories combined with good humor and overall great speakers...

SSgt. Stayton was amazing as well (and his non politically correct comments)...

Gene Kranz was pretty descent, once I got into all of it, it was actually quite good.

Major Graham, the '99 grad who was the helo pilot was a very good speaker as well, he has plenty of service left to go in his career and he's already come so far...

Also saw cell phones for troops, thought the kids did very well in front of a big crowd and its really awesome how far theyve come from a small idea at 13 years old...

Mr. Scott was also another one I saw....

I get the main jist of what NCLS is, but can someone explain it in more detail? It sounds awesome.

Basically NCLS is a chance for us and some students from various other colleges (not sure how that works) to hear some truly amazing speakers tell their stories, which usually show some AMAZING character and leadership traits. Not sure what else to say about it..

I LOVED Mr. Olson's presentation, it was like The Bourne Identity real life...Gene Kranz was good too, especially since I want to be an astronaut someday. Unfortunately those are the only speakers I got to hear because of tennis today and tomorrow :(

And Hornet, your introduction wasn't TOO bad (just kidding, it was good)

haha i was like hey i kno that guy

I was sitting right up in front, hornetguy, right next to the guy who yelled out to you during that briefing. Didn't realize it was you until you said your name- I have pretty bad eyesight (obviously).
The keynote speakers were awesome. It's amazing that we can have all these people out here and see and talk to them for free. Regular students have to pay to come here, and I think most have to be in leadership programs back at their schools.

i love NCLS. i got to escort mr david willaims, ceo and president of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, and he has some good stories. i've also enjoyed the other speakers i've been priveleged enough to hear

i really enjoyed it. i think my favorites were ssgt stayton and mr. olson. aaaawesome! ;)
