Macdonald Residences???

I have seen a fair bit of discussion regarding many other McGill residences but not the Macdonald one. And more importantly they dont show up on the minerva ranking page as well, you have your greenbriars, solin hall, new rez, etc but no Laird hall or EcoResidence??

Does anyone have any idea why that is and maybe some one can shed some light on these rez as well...

I noticed that RVC also didnt show up probably because it doesnt show up for guys on their minerva page. Could this be the same reason for macdonald rez as well meaning that unless you are at the macdonald campus, you cant opt for it.

But than again, I thought that the department of mechanical engineering(i accepted the offer for mech eng) was at macdonald but I could be wrong. Anyone has an insight??

I’m pretty sure that its at the main campus.

They won’t show up on Minerva if your program is on the downtown campus. The commute would be absolutely ridiculous - believe me, you don’t want to live there unless you’re classes are going to be there too. (I’ve taken classes on both campuses and the trip can get old fast). Mechanical Engineering is not on Mac, so that explains why Laird and Eco don’t show up as options for you.

RVC shows up if you are a girl.

It turns out that it is indeed located at the Downtown campus. The fact that it is called the “Macdonald Engineering building” just got me confused.

I was really hoping I could get in Laird Hall, much cheaper than the other alternatives. Its off-campus for me I guess.
