Macs at Cornell

I am a mac user and I wanted to know if its recommended to bring a Mac if I'm accepted at Cornell. Do programs such as DC++ work on Macs at Cornell too? Thank you.

Cornell is very mac-friendly. Definitely stick with macs. I will.

i use a mac, it's great, works all over campus, and DC++ will work on a mac (though i have yet to put it on)

there is something called Shakespeer instead of DC++ for macs if DC++ doesn't work. there are some things like the free napster which won't work on macs. everything else is fine for macs.

if you get PC for mac, napster will run fine.

so DC++ works for mac or not?

yes it does

Well, the issues here are as they are everywhere. There is support for them, but the standard software incompatibilities still apply. Certain programs you may need for classes won't run on it, but that may not apply to you anyway. Whatever you choose you're safe.
