Made a big mistake on CSS. How do I fix it?

regarding my citizenship status, I put that I was a U.S citizen because my immigration lawyer told me I would get it before I get into college. On the CSS, I said that I was a U.S citizen but as of now I am actually "Greencard Pending/ I-485". I am applying to Dartmouth ED and notified Dartmouth and received confirmation from them that they have updated my profile. Am I ok if Dartmouth has been notified about it?

Yes. Profile cannot be amended by the student. The only way to fix things is to notify the school. You have done that and you are fine. If they want additional info later, they’ll ask for it.

The FAFSA is different. If you make a mistake with citizenship status on FAFSA, it will bomb out. FAFSA does a cross-check with Homeland Security. Make sure you fill out the FAFSA properly when the time comes to complete it.

thank you!
