ok so these are my top 5.. they're not in any order, and that's my problem. i dunno enough about these dorms, besides the fact that thurston's the party dorm, i'd most likely have more than 3 roommates there and it smells like vomit and beer. what about the other dorms? would there still be plenty of partying? i'd appreciate any extra info from anyone who's stayed in these dorms before! thanks!

Wow…absolutely nothing you said about Thurston is true, except that it could probably be considered the “party dorm.” You would NOT most likely have more than 3 roommates; there are a few 5-6 person rooms, but they are turning all the rooms that were quads (which are the majority of them) into triples, so you’d most likely have 2 roommates. It doesn’t smell like vomit and beer, or really much of anything.

After Thurston, Potomac probably has the biggest party scene, but the rooms are smaller and you might have a problem getting placed there if you weren’t ED. Madison is nice- older, but it has big rooms and has a fair amount of people. Again though there is the problem of getting in it if you weren’t ED. Lafayette and Crawford are quieter dorms, but the rooms aren’t bad and everyone probably goes to party in Thurston anyway.

Keep in mind that no matter where you live, no place is completely segregated from everywhere else; you’re not going to be socially isolated because of the dorm you choose.
