<p>I had some questions for anyone that has ever taken MAE 9. How difficult is it/ how time consuming. I am a 2nd year non-science major, and I was thinking about taking it. My first quarter at UCSD I took CSE 3 (Peterson) and I was really disappointed about how little I actually learned (excluding the 2 weeks of excel). I want to take the class to have a better understanding of computers and just overall knowledge. I have room in my schedule for it this quarter. I was just wondering if it was a good idea.</p>

<p>it’s not really a walk in the park. many come in with prior knowledge of programming, some are already proficient at C/C++</p>
