I'm choosing between two universities currently, and would love some advice on which one to choose. Considering my financial situation, and my geographic location, Central Washington University-Lynnwood makes the most sense, but they have one short coming, they only offer General Business. On the other hand, I also got accepted to University of Washington, and they offer my desired specialization (Finance), however, it will cost me close to 8k more in tuition and fees. I want to be a Personal Finance Adviser, and was curious whether or not my lack of specialization would make that big of a difference; I would like to save on costs if possible.

I wouldn’t recommend majoring in general Business ever.
Companies probably won’t look at it that highly.

Finance/Accounting/Economics/Math/Statistics is way more lucrative.
Heck, I think even Marketing is more lucrative.

This is just from what I infer from what these forums and my grad friends say, though. I’m just a high school senior planning on majoring in Economics and Finance.

It doesn’t matter.

You just need a degree and this certification and you’re on your way to becoming a glorified salesman!

UW! Heck, even if it costs more,
as far as I know Foster is a great business school and their Finance program was ranked 25th in the nation - by US News and World report.
Go to UW!
