Hey guys. I was wondering which schedule looks better?

Ap Stats
Ap Comp Sci
Ap Lang
Ap Econ
Ap Physics B
Ap Calc Ab
PE/Health

or

Ap USH
Ap Econ
Ap lang
Ap Physics
Ap Calc AB
Honors Engineering Class
PE/Health

My main comparison is the difficulty of AP USH vs AP Comp Sci and Ap Stats combined? Will AP USH be equal to the difficulty of the two classes combined? Thanks.

also, do u think ap comp sci and ap stats put together will be harder or easier than ap ush alone? And, I want to take the course that gives me the most college credit. thanks.

well it should depend on your interests. if you’re seeking a STEM major as a career, then you shoudl take both APCS and AP Stats. I would still pick them anyway, because in my school APUSH is really challenging to get an A in, whereas the other 2 are not as hard.

Personally, I don’t like Stats. Even for STEM/Pre-Med Majors.
If you need Stats in your future, you’ll take the course with the more advanced calculus background.

USH- it’s a staple course. It’s knowledge you should have about the world around you. It will complement Lang quite nicely. I actually wrote about Columbus in my Lang essay this year.

If you enjoy your other courses, then your classes fit perfectly. I’m assuming you have to take Gym/health as a graduation requirement. But, if there’s an elective course you’re passionate about, feel free to sacrifice an AP to do so.

I was
Four year gym student (2 year required)
and a
Four year Choir student

my admissions, in my estimation, was only strengthened because of it.

thanks. but I’m probably going end up doing the ap java and ap stats route instead because ap stats helps me with act. Is that right? And would AP USH help me with the Critical Reading on the ACT or SAT?

AP stats does not help you with the ACT… (chuckle) Buy the big red review book to review ACT math.

and you’re kind of missing the point with APUSH. It’s intensive reading, so (you should) become a better reader, therefore do better on ACT/SAT crit reading. But it’s more about the information which is critical for being a US/world citizen.

^^^ yeah AP Stats definitely well do nothing for you on the ACT haha the most “statistic” like questions would be combinations and permutations, things you learn in Alg II (Alg I for me)
However if you’re planning on pre-med I’m not sure why you would take APCS, that’s not a required course for the vast majority of college majors? However US history is a guarantee for every major, so in terms of college credit I would think you’d get more out of APUSH. At my school APUSH is 2 years (soph/junior) and you take it at the end of your junior year, I never thought it was very hard, just a good bit of reading but nothing crazy.
