Possible Schedules

Our counselors are starting to take interest in what classes we want for the following school year, so they know to have which AP's planned out for classes we will take. Here's 2 of the schedules i'm looking at.

Sched 1

AP Statistics
AP Eng Comp
AP Biology
American Hist Honors
Pre-calc
Psychology I/II (have to take these b4 AP psych)
Comprehensive Law
(Spanish III online)

Sched 2

AP Stat
AP Eng Comp
AP Environ
AP USH
Pre-calc
Psych I/II
Comp Law
(Spanish III online)

The problem is AP USH is the hardest class in my school. The tests are horrid, but he just breezes through the 20 pages of homework. It's all completion. I'm just worried about it being too much work. If I take APUS, I'll take AP Bio my senior year, and just take Environmental so I won't have as much work. Which would anyone recommend? I'm a sophomore with a 4.24 GPA. and 2/441 kids.

Both of these are solid schedules. Just from looking at your stats I think you'll definitely be able to handle APUSH. I had the same kind of trouble deciding whether to take APWH sophomore year. I would go for it; if it's too much you can always switch out after a few days :)

I have friends in AP USH that have taken AP World (my current & only AP). Most in their have a B, thanks to the homework. I have an A in my AP world this year all around but she's way easier than the AP US teacher. I've just heard so much about AP US is the most work in an AP course you will ever do. Not liking that, lol.

I can't speak to that because I'm in IB and am taking the IB equivalent, but according to others who have taken both classes APWH is the harder one at my school. I guess your school is different. Again I think you should do it; won't it feel great to conquer the hardest course in school? :)

^ Not really.

The #1 girl will outdo me, at everything, lol.
I'd rather just take honors and get the breeze A since I know the teacher and his class is the biggest joke, ever.

And many argue AP Chem is the hardest, which is possible, but AP US is definitely more work. I hate science though, so AP chem is way out of the picture.

Just my opinion: don't take Environmental Science. I'm taking the the class for a semester now and I learned nothing new, and we have a bunch of busy works. It's like my middle school science classes (and the teacher actually gave us a packet of worksheets that said "For MIDDLE SCHOOL science" at the very top). But the class may be different from school to school. Take AP bio.

I'm taking both, but probably Bio junior year to make my senior year easier, lol.

I'm not taking Chem, and the only other AP sciences besides that are Env and Physics, and Physics is a big no, lol.

I would never take AP/IB Bio lol.

I'm taking IB Physics now, and am going to take APES next year. May take AP Chem also.

The Bio teacher is easier at my school, people have horror stories involving the chem teacher.

It varies by school.

Yeah our AP Chem teacher is crazy.
