Major in Neuroscience, minor in Philosophy

Is this possible since each one is in a different college? I got accepted into the College of Letters and Science...but from what I understand this will not allow me to minor in Philosophy?

I think they're in the same college--the college of letters and science. I'm pretty sure that combination is possible.

For neuro: UCLA General Catalog 2007-08: Undergraduate Study

For philosophy: UCLA General Catalog 2007-08: Undergraduate Study

Yup, they're both in CL&S.

Awesome, thanks guys! I guess my College Welcome Day guide was wrong :P

woah. neuro is really competitive.. i think.

What do you mean by competitive? As in cut-throat type or simply hard classes?

competitive as in everyone's taking neuroscience for med? haha i dunno..

No, everyone's taking psychobio for med.

i think there are more pre-meds in MCDB, phy sci and psychobio than in neuroscience?

Besides, I heard that upper-divs don't have curves, so it's not really competitive... did I hear wrong?

lol, everyone is premed. all the life science majors are made of like ninety percent premeds.

yeah, basically 90+ percent of any life science major is premed.

curves depend on the class. some have them, some are straight grading.
