<p>Is it true that no minors are offered at UMD? someone in my HS told me she read it somewhere, and if so, what is the average number of majors you can graduate with?

<p>That is not true, UMD does offer Minors.</p>
<p>And what do you mean average number of majors you can graduate with? If you mean in 4 years, then probably just 1, unless you have a lot of AP/IB/etc credit coming in and/or plan on taking extra classes during semesters/taking winter or summer classes, in which case you could probably get away with 2.</p>
<p>drill: I have average number of APs but when I was told that minors weren’t offered I thought maybe a 2nd major would be useful. I appreciate your response!!!</p>

<p>Not only do Minors, but they also do a thing called core concentration.</p>
<p>Our DS has a major…Govt and Politics, minor in International Relations, core in military history (?..I think that is what it is called).</p>
