I was wondering if it was possible to major in computer science and minor in business. Any body know if this can be possible? Most people tell me that not a lot of people minor in business.

That depends on your school. Students in the college of natural sciences of my school (includes computer science) are not allowed to minor. I have no idea why that is. Some universities do have minors in business. That’s going to be something you’d have to check for your specific school. You would probably want to check two things: the policy for computer science majors/students in that college minoring in something AND if there is a webpage anywhere with information on a business minor. If you cannot find that information, you will need to contact some faculty with that question.

Edit: I want to add that it is likely going to be true that most if not all of the business courses would not be part of the major requirements for a Computer Science degree. I’d recommend that you look at which courses could be used for the business minor and if it turns out they give you some freedom for choosing which courses you’d like to take to satisfy that minor, see if there’s any courses you can take that would count towards both the minor and the core curriculum or anything at all that would help you towards your degree other than just an elective credit. It may be possible that your degree plan has enough room for elective credits such that every business course could go there and you can still graduate on time but just make sure to check.
