For Fall 2016 UC entrance, you need to complete all prerequisites by the end Spring 2016.
Thank you. But UC only use the grades of Fall 2015 to make decision. So I think it’s better to take Differential Equations on 2015 Fall.
What decision?
I wonder how much will it affect if I leave one or two major pre-reqs to 2016 SPRING? 'cause they won’t have the chance to look at them before they make decision, isn’t it?
Which UC?
UCB or UCLA
@taotao88 they will only calculate GPA through fall. If you have two pre-reqs and you can swing it, better to take one of them in fall, so they can see you have what it takes-- Especially if it’s a hard math course.
Guess I’m totally confused here. When did UCLA/UCB start admitting Spring transfers?
I think he’s just asking if he should fulfill at least one of his math pre-reqs by fall instead of spring to provide a better application.
I didn’t go up to reread, so maybe I got it wrong.
@fullload His question is pretty simple, I’m not sure why you’re talking about spring transfers.
He wants to transfer. He’s asking if he should take the class in the fall of his application year, so the UC he transfers to (the following fall) will see a grade for it on his application, compared to taking it in the spring when those grades aren’t counted in the application process.
The “decision,” obviously, is admittance to said UC.
Yep, definitely misunderstood the post. My bad.
Yes, only need to take Differential Equations in the fall 2015 or winter 2016.
Assuming you can swing it do it fall. Unless you’re worried about how well you might do. Then hold off. Actually, if it’s the only pre-req left it probably won’t make any difference.
Whats the major??
Thank you. The major is math&econ
