Hi, right now I'm a freshman in high school. My older brother recently got accepted to Columbua University for BioMedical Engineering (Undergrad). One of his main activities e did outside of school that he wrote on his application was a Science Research program he did through our school. Through this program he worked in a lab at RPI with a professor and co authored as well as published a paper. This was directly related to his major. This leads to my two questions.
I know that I want to major in Economics and then go to law school.

My first question is what activity(s) can I do outside of school that actually relate to my economics major. In other words, as Science Research related to a Biomedical Engineering major, what would relate to an Economics major.

My second question is that if I also did Science Research, which I would enjoy doing, even though it is science related, would that help me get into a good school as an Economics major?

Thanks
