I visited Lehigh this past Saturday and fell in love with it the moment I stepped on campus. I decided within the first five minutes that this is absolutely a college that I want to apply to, however, I soon found out that Lehigh is mainly a school devoted to engineering. I was wondering if any of you know much about the communications, english, or humanities programs here? I would also love to be able to take an acting and dance class at some point but I'm not really sure how much of that Lehigh offers and if the program is any good.

I haven't managed to narrow down my possible majors yet but I'm thinking either buisness, english, communications, or psychology and maybe a class in dance or acting. Would Lehigh be a bad choice if this is what I would like to do? And do you know any colleges that are similar looking to Lehigh that may give me the same feel and yet have more of a liberal arts touch?

Only around ~30% of Lehigh students are actually in the engineering department. The College of Arts & Sciences is the largest.

Lehigh's Accounting program is ranked #1 undergraduate right now, finance program is always ranked well. There are a bunch of majors in the arts & sciences school, english, poly sci and psych are pretty common.

I graduated from the engineering school, so my opinion is probably skewed, but if you are looking to go to law school, medical school, or business school you can do it with an engineering or business degree...pre-med and pre-law are a waste of time.

Yes, Lehigh is known for their Engineering and Business programs. However, you should not let this stop you from applying. Although Lehigh's not ranked highly for anything in College of Arts and Sciences, Lehigh is a good school which means their program should at least be adequate. Lehigh offers many courses including dance so if you said you loved it here then go for it.
