Post your direction of study!

Currently, I'm exploratory (undecided), but I'm really leaning toward anthropology as a major. Is it best to have a major chosen when you schedule classes, or to go in as exploratory, if you're not certain?

I'd love to hear what everyone plans on studying :]

Many students change their major a few times as they progress through their studies and narrow down their interests and strengths. Try to choose courses that satisfy the liberal studies requirements as well as expose you to majors you are interested in studying. The more you can narrow down what direction you want to go, the less credits you might waste. Most majors have a few elective credits you can use anyway. Just be careful the first year or so not to box yourself into a corner with your course choices.

In years past the first two years were to be spent on liberal studies, then you proceeded into a major course of studies.

Now the push is to have students decide almost while still in high school. I really don't know if I like this or not...you need time to mature - things change a lot from 18 to 25.

My first major that I picked was Biological Sciences with an emphasis is Neuroscience. After dual enrolling and taking General Psych, it really really changed my mind along with my major. I'm very excited for the future. :)

I'm leaning towards the Multinational Business major with a minor in Japanese now. I'm also aiming to do a study abroad for sophomore year over in Japan to improve my fluency.
