"Making Student Connections"

Hi everyone,

Under the "Admission Documents Sent" section of my "Where Am I in the Process" page, a document named "Making Student Connections" was sent late January. Since it's been more than 3 weeks and I haven't received it (I'm not an international student), I'm assuming it got lost in the mail.

Can someone who has received this document enlighten me of it's contents and importance (how many pages, what it's about, is it a letter, a brochure, etc)?

Thanks.

I never got it either.

Two out of three mails from CMU were never received for me… Lucky that the “Application Receipt Letter” reached my mailbox :)

Ok, thanks for the reply.

I did, however, receive a phone call from a CMU student who said he was “working with with admissions office”. I think that might have something to do with the “Making Student Connections” thing… maybe?

From the sound of it, the admission office most likely assigned a student to contact you as part of this program, so don’t worry that anything got lost in the mail!

Yes, I believe the Making Student Connections is when the current student calls your house. I remember because earlier this month I received a call from someone who told me they were a student and wanted to know if I had any questions and I was half asleep so I said no, then when I woke up I began pondering what it was, so I checked online and it said “Making Student Connections” for that day.

Also, another time an admission counselor called but that was labeled “recruitment” .
