It it truly advantageous for males for “having fun”? You know what I mean.

Hah…I’ll take this one. You are right, the ratio of males to females favors the heterosexual male–even more so if you factor in all the gay guys that go here. (You don’t know how many times I’ve walked in on my friends who are girls crying about a guy they found out was gay…)

Be forewarned that a lot of girls at BU date guys at other colleges because of the ratio. Not saying it’s difficult to get a girlfriend or a date here, only pointing out the scene is a little more complex when you look at it closely.

lmao i heard the same thing, with a lot of the guys attending being gay (atleast from the summer session i attended, what my RA informed me). with that said, its college, and youre in the city of boston, im sure we’ll all get our fun :)

The dating / hook-up scene in Boston is not like elsewhere because there are 113K+ college students in the city itself - with another 110k+ in the towns right around Boston - plus more than that in recent graduates / people in their 20’s. We’re talking 250k college age kids around Boston plus recent grads. Parts of the city are very young and people do tend to mix with other schools and with outsiders, particularly if an interest extends past school boundaries (like almost any club or ethnic interest).
