Managerial economics?

how hard is it to switch into the managerial economics major? i got in for economics but i really wanna switch to managerial economics!

My understanding is that it’s fairly easy to switch majors within the same college. Harder to switch outside of your college… like Business to Engineering would be more difficult.

Econ and Man Econ are in different colleges… lol.
It shouldn’t be hard. I don’t think you can switch in your first quarter.
I’ve been taking econ classes for 5 quarters now and I just switched from bio sci to econ a couple weeks ago, lol. Don’t worry about it

I am currently a third year managerial econ and international relations double major. Managerial Economics is what they called a selective major here in UCD. Which means there is list of courses you have to take before you can transfer into the major. For man econ, you need to average a 2.80 gpa in Economics 1a,1b, Stats 13, Math 16a/16b or 21a/21b. As long as you meet the gpa requirement for those 5 classes, you will be able to transfer into the major. Its fairly easy to transfer into man econ, but you might have to wait for a few quarters if you haven’t satisfy those courses already. Hopefully that helps.

how hard is it to get into managerial economics? like if you stayed undeclared for the first 2 years and then tried to get in?

as the poster above you stated, that would probably completely depend on your GPA in those classes and the completion of prereqs.
