I want to take the Intro to Management class this fall just to see if I like it enough to pursue it as my minor. I am a freshman and I was wondering if this is possible? Online it says there is room in the class and I will be taking my other GE classes this semester but I just want to take this one non-GE class.
Is it possible for me to do this? And would you recomend it?

I can’t make a recommendation, but I do not know of any policy that would prohibit you from doing so.The one possible problem I see is that the course may require certain prerequisites. As far as I know, you should be fine.

Wait, are you only taking GEs this fall? Do you not have a major yet?

I think it’s perfectly fine for you to take MGMT 1, since that will count for your (potential) future minor. However, make sure you’re not missing out on any pre-reqs/once a year classes that may be required for your major.

MGMT 5 is actually a pretty easy class. Take it with Mclaughlin. Go to class study her slides. Don’t buy the book and it’s an easy A. 1 project 2 case study and 2 exams.

Class average when i took it was a B which is pretty high actually. A ton of A’s

O Btw don’t take Management 1 since it’s not a req of the minor Management 5 is actually the class you want to start in.

Edit-

Wait ***… they changed the requirement for the management minor? It used to be management 5 as the lower division class… and it still shows up on my Degreework as such . hmm thats weird

I really wanted to take Management 5 but on the schedule of classes it says its full
So I figured I would take Intro to Management first…do you know if that one is easy also?
Thanks!

Take it with Eppel and you’ll have a great time, you’ll learn lots, and it should be an easy A.

Haven’t taken Mclaughlin, but I’ve heard good things.
