Many choices to prepare/bring up my grade, help please.

So here’s my plan. Udub or berkely with a major in biology/medicine what I need help with is very odd. So here’s the thing, I just finished my sophomore year with an A in Spanish 2, however freshman year I had a D the first semester but an A the second semester but they both counted as 2 different classes, Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B which brings my cumminitive GPA to a 3.6. So I can retake Spanish 1A online during the fall and replace that grade, or I can take Spanish 3 which I can probably easily get an A in and make that D look like a mistake which I was able to learn all the material I didn’t know with 1 winter break on my own accord which I can use in my essay. Or I can take Spanish 3 and replace the grade. Orrrrr I can replace the grade and taking AP environmental instead of Spanish 3 or ap seminar if I don’t get ap environmental? What do you think?

The best advice is to talk to your counselor. UCs do not consider freshman year grades, but a D on the transcript is not a good sign.

Are you instate or OOS for Berkeley? The GPA is too low right now for Berkeley. GPA is low for UW as well. Also, without an SAT/ACT score nobody knows your chances.

Hopefully your post is rushed-I had a hard time reading it because of the punctuation and grammar issues. I assume that you can write more corherenty in your personal statements/application essays.

Even if the HS allows you to retake Spanish 1, considering that you’ve completed Spanish 2, move on. You’re just wasting your time that could be used for something more productive.

Agreed. And paragraphs would also help. You should be mindful of the users whose help you are seeking. Additionally, avoid jargon like Udub that is not familiar to all users.

I rushed this, I’m using a phone. It’s just a basis line question. I can easily get my GPA past 3.8 but retaking Spanish 1 would make it way easier. I can take it online and spend around 10 minutes a day to get an A. Yes I know it means nothing considering I already exceed it, but it will increase my GPA by quite an amount yes?

I wouldn’t be retaking Spanish 1 inschool, I would be using online school, this would not affect my class schedule for it’s on my own time.

Also I have a huge improvement trend. I got around a 3.3/3.4 freshman year and this year I got a 3.875
