Okay Luigi, you either have a great memory or watched it way too much to realize that.

I remember watching it when I was 7 years old, and I turned to my parents and said I am going to grow up and marry Tony Nelson..my folks laughed at me, my Dad told me he would rather see me become an Air Force Pilot....fast foward 15 years later and when Bullet proposed my Dad laughed and said Pima always gets what she wants...I asked what he meant and he said you told me you would marry Tony Nelson and you actually made it happen.

Now if I could just cross my arms and blink to get what I want that would be great... much easier than having to twitch my nose, never mastered that feat :)

But seriously, that recent discussion also reminded me of the PDS discussion. I thought it was a hilarious description of how some people behave on here.

When you watch TV, if there is a show that is annoying or you don't like, do you a) Change the channel, b) Yell at the TV or c) Turn the TV off and find something else to do?

It somewhat reminds me the whole PDS description. People largely participate to share information or gain insight into the vaious Academies. About once a week, I scan the various topics and much like TV, I might enjoy a few of the threads, flip, flip, flip through the ones I have no interest in or perhaps find a few of interest where I might post additional information.

Offering your OPINION in a public forum means that at least some of the replies will be from people who don't agree with you. Fine with me, that is part of what you sign up for when you participate in a public forum. Seems to me we should all behave like we are guests at someone's house. In some respects we are, since we are all guests on a public website.

People with all sorts of interests and backgrounds paricipate..... fine with me. I don't really care if you are a 4 star general or if you happen to know someone in your church choir who has a son at an Academy. Seems we can all contribute and share information that will of benefit to everyone.

The only people who 'lose' are the ones who suffer from PDS. I think real winners should be interested h.s. students and their parents who use these forums as one resource to help answer the many questions they have.

......now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Answer is change the channel, but now if it is my house and Bullets sports teams are playing than the answer is B and hope that the coaches can hear you through the tv and get divine inspiration.

Everyone, please take this antidote with a grain of salt. In the military, the Navy at least, it is considered poor form to play jokes on a subordinate. Since they would be very uncomfortable and feel totally out of line reciprocating, it becomes a one way avenue, which most would consider cruel and none 'find amusing'.

I lived in Ca for a long time. During the summer everyone would hang out in the Garage going over the recent events. We had a neighbor (old Navy guy) who would always stumble in. I know in his heart he was a good man (just misunderstood). The neighbors would all sit around on the warm afternoons talking about whose lawn looked better or what crazy thing the guy down the street did. This (old Navy guy) raised in a different time had some uncomfortable ideas about everything from race to popular culture, and he never failed to share. Eventually everyone just started closing the garage doors and staying inside because they didn't want to fight, but also just couldn't bear to listen anymore.

I have been known to close my door and shut off lights in the same situation. IMO, it is kinder to them, than becoming frustrated and getting an attitude. No one mistake this as I did it all of the time, I just did it when I knew I would be unkind and snappy....unfortunately I can't do that when My Mother-In-Law visits :D
