As everyone is aware, March 10th falls on a Sunday this year. I just called the PEA Admissions Office to ask if that will make any difference in terms of their decision release date. They said that the discussions are on going and they should have a decision as to whether they will email on the 9th or 10th "within a month." While I didn't ask directly, she seemed to imply that the decision will made together by all of the schools that have signed on to the common release date.

So it seems that email will be the method of choice and it will be on that weekend.

Members of the Ten Schools Admission Organization (TSAO) [Ten Schools: Letter to Parents](<a href=“Ten Schools: Letter to Parents”>Ten Schools: Letter to Parents) Admission decisions are made by the admission office only, and students and families will be notified no earlier than March 10.

the TSAO, I gather, is considering changing the notification day to the 9th this year, hence the discussion that is taking place. The important point is not the 10th, per se, but the uniformity.

@baseabll25 I got an email from a TSAO school this week with a letter, but went to the website to post a link. I just checked the letter - they sent out the one from last year! The email and the link say January 2012. I didn’t catch that.

@london203 - yes, some schools have different deadlines. Catholic schools in my area give responses in February. And Rhode Island private schools send on March 1.
