March 10th?

As everyone is aware, March 10th falls on a Sunday this year. I just called the PEA Admissions Office to ask if that will make any difference in terms of their decision release date. They said that the discussions are on going and they should have a decision as to whether they will email on the 9th or 10th "within a month." While I didn't ask directly, she seemed to imply that the decision will made together by all of the schools that have signed on to the common release date.

So it seems that email will be the method of choice and it will be on that weekend.

Choate will release decisions March 9th.

No matter March 9 or March 10 or March 11 or even March 17, it is an atrocious wait. O_O

Not to mention the odd phenomenon whereby the time to complete applications flew by, but the time for an answer will crawl! :-)

Members of the Ten Schools Admission Organization (TSAO) [Ten Schools: Letter to Parents](<a href=“Ten Schools: Letter to Parents”>Ten Schools: Letter to Parents) Admission decisions are made by the admission office only, and students and families will be notified no earlier than March 10.

the TSAO, I gather, is considering changing the notification day to the 9th this year, hence the discussion that is taking place. The important point is not the 10th, per se, but the uniformity.

@MA2012 your letter starts with January 2012…thats one year ago. I know most-all of the schools i am applying to changed to march 9th.

So - do ANY schools accept peoe before march 10th? I mean non-HADES/10schools…

@baseabll25 I got an email from a TSAO school this week with a letter, but went to the website to post a link. I just checked the letter - they sent out the one from last year! The email and the link say January 2012. I didn’t catch that.

@london203 - yes, some schools have different deadlines. Catholic schools in my area give responses in February. And Rhode Island private schools send on March 1.

Is anyone applying to schools that notify you in 5 days to 2-3 weeks?
Rolling admission schools
Eg: Cheshire, Canadian bs

March 10 is on a Monday isn’t it?

I don’t know if you guys have noticed. But this is LAST YEARS thread. Haha.

I only noticed because I went through it… hehe, don’t worry. But yes, it is a Monday.

@Stargirl3, Ok, you got me. I knew that was from last year cause I went through it too.
