Do we get the letters IN OUR MAILBOX on March 10th or are they SENT OUT on march 10th?

Its a humongous difference.

Do we get the letters IN OUR MAILBOX on March 10th or are they SENT OUT on march 10th?

Its a humongous difference.

Some schools like Peddie say they will SEND OUT on march 10th.

Some other schols say the mail will ARRIVE on march 10th.

i know!
it varies from school to school, but i think that they SEND them out on the 10th

It depends which school, look on the website or call the schools that you are applying to.

You need to CALL as some of the schools web sites SAY decisions mailed on March 10 yet when I called they said they were mailing on Friday or Saturday. Others simply say "students notified March 10" which does not tell you either way.

the school i'm applying to gives its decisions online.
THANK GOD.

I think all you 1 school people are SO BRAVE!

Not brave, stupid (I am speaking for myself...) I am SO worried

hahah i agree with jazlyn
i'm already in at a day school.
i'll probably go there, but this one's my first choice!

brave, stupid
their synonyms.

hahahah. too true.

Lol, there should be a whole section for witty school sayings!

has anyone here ever read the book prep?

No, whats it about, it seems everyone has read these books except me! hahahaha, there is a thread about these books, but they are mostly about conceited hyper chicks! lol

Crickett, why did you start this thread? Aren't you the one who already received an acceptance and $25,000 grant? Or are you the one who got the great phone call from the admissions officer? I'm confused..

ahhhhh! march tenth!!!! oh my god! it just HAD to fall on a monday, didnt it?

laxtaxi--
I'm the girl who got the call from the Dean of Admissions. None the less, I've still applied to 3 other schools!

Crickett, got it. Good luck with the others, having a choice would be a fine thing.

Prep isn't at all like those series. It is novel from the perspective of a boarder Ault School (supposedly based on Groton) who isn't exactly the most popular girl in school. No summary can really do it justice. I recommend it!

I enjoyed Prep, but give "Old School" by Tobias Wolff a read. You won't be disappointed. He's the author of "This Boy's Life" and an English prof at Syracuse (still?). --I don't know how to underline on CC to properly indicate book titles.
