Implicit Criticism - I thought that was the only logical choice, and it fit in the context. The protagonist felt slighted because someone told her that the new owners of the shop are nice people with nice kiddies. Normally one would not be offended by these remarks. The only reason for her to be offended is if she thought this implied that she was not a nice person and did not have nice kiddies. Thus, implied criticism.

Ouch. I Missed another CR. :(
How low is minus 6 and omit 2 in cr of a score?

For the architecture/culture/arts passage:
What was practice referring to?
I was stuck between commercialization and shopping center construction. I put the latter.

I thought commercialization because that's basically real estate- but I probably screwed up this passage

It was commercialization. The practice, as mentioned later in the paragraph, summarizes the actions mentioned previously in the paragraph. I believe the paragraph dealt not only with constructing new cultural centers, but also with treating them as commodities, &c. So the other choices are too limited. Plus, I forgot the exact wording of the "constructing shopping centers" answer but if it indeed said shopping centers, then that has to be wrong. No shopping centers were constructed, the author simply said that the bourgeois style of the cultural centers were modeled after shopping malls.

anyone remmerbt he short answer like : doug is ______ and _____: he works very hard and is modest... is the one that people say perspicacious is the answer, cuase i thought it had something to do with unpretensious or sumtin along those lines

It was perspicacious and unpretentious. Unpretentious goes into the second blank.

does anyone remember some of the other choices, cuase i remember unpretensious and i hope i picked it...

Yeah... I hope I put perspicacious. I hope I didn't change it.

wat question yield an answer: sensation of freedom' in mrs. d passage

For the perspicacious and unpretentious question another choice was obtuse...penitent, which was what i put :(

for that passage with the dad who painted, and the mom who delivered the "blow" at the end

for that one question, was her anger, confined, checked, or what?

Wait what was the answer to the question about why the OLD LADY LISTED ALL THOSE THINGS??? was it b/c of sensory details????

bonder, see the thread titled "Regimented system or sensory?"

I put 'sensory'.

the one with magical elixar, anyone else put power of phrase, i agree motivation worked but not the part about archaelogy, since the passage mentioned archaelogy i thought that would the trick, however it was used in "magical elixar for rundown imaginations. the words evokes the romantacism of exploration and arachaelogy at the time..." (the read words, see big overalll thing on this test for link) seems to me it is powerful bc it can motivate imagniaition and evokes a sense, a sense of romantasicm (greatness) and archaelogy

yea, i put power of phrase

i really think it is power of phrase. 80% sure
