March 2012 SAT I Critical Reading Thread

it was scavenges. it was acculated or something like that

@drac313
I put illuminated…sequence.

@drac313 it’s precipitate…concatenation

@drac313
general consensus seems to say precipitate was correct.

it WASNT scavenges

Precipitate and confluence is the consensus I think.

Alright, I guess I was wrong then, I was stuck between those two but didn’t really understand what precipitate meant outside of chemistry :(.

@shim

It was scavenges.

For the electoral college one,
did you put the undertaking or the qualification?

@green
I put argue against a change. I don’t know where people are coming up with undertaking, that wasn’t even viable. The only two things that made any sense were qualification or argue against change.

i said aggregate or something like that for the one with the ravens. i don’t think scavenges was correct

illuminated and sequence sounds too low of a vocab level for a last vocab question. must have been the other one.

HALLEJULAHHHHHH. it cant be scavegnes cause thats what they do. but in the sentence it was how they did it

I put arguing for a change too. But what he did qualify with that baseball analogy didnt he?

On the chest question, I put vital at first, but when I reread the question, I think it said something about “to the author”, so I changed my answer to sinister, because the chest wasn’t sinister to the author.

Does anyone want to volunteer to make a huge list of compiled answers that have been agreed on? (so no vital/sinister/imposing) :D

The sentence read that ravens forage in groups, together they _____

scavenge

We discussed this earlier in the thread already.

@ drac. nonononono they agregate together in order to scavenge

no it was about how they gathered food. not about how they got the food

In the passage about space, there was a question asking about the parenthetical reference (milky way, 30 galaxies…) [something along those lines]

What was the significance of it? I remember putting E I think.

yess what just shimkihoon siad
