March 2013 Math SAT Discussion

What would (1x CR, 1x Writing, 3x Math + 2 omit) end up being?

Also, one of the math I got wrong was in the grid in, which I think I remember reading they don’t take off for. Is that true?

anyone remember the problem rate of rain & rainstorm like the answer choices or the problem was? I don’t recall putting two, but I just plugged it in and got it. I think i put 2.5, but I’m not sure.

I think I might have put 7 for the last grid in. ****

andyshoe: sorry, 7/8 difference was not experimental.

difueroa: car painting was experimental.

tacobff: I’m not sure if 2.5 is right. I think I just put 2 (I think). The added constant and the given y value cancel out, so you just have to solve for the stuff around x = 0.

What do you think a -2, omit 4 in math will get me? :/

What was the answer to the question with a graph of a box and it asked you to move the box up 3 and left 5 or something around those lines?

2sballh: up 3 and left 5 should be y+3 and x-5. This is with the question, talking about an object rather than a function.

@RMIBstudent thank you! do you happen to remember what number and/or section that question was from?

Anyone remember the question to the answer 15.6?

X/y =5 what is 3(x/y)+3(y/x)

Oh thanks.

I put 78/5 thats probably what tripped me up (I think this was a grid in) Although I may have put 48/5 like a moron.

Guys, just a general poll:

Was the math for the March SAT harder or easier than normal?

Anyone want to answer?

I thought the math was average.

Sadly, I believe the Math was relatively easy because I see people that know they only got one wrong and achieved a 770, which indicates it was easy. Frankly, I think I prefer a more average or harder test with a much better curve over an easy test with a harsher curve.

I felt that the math was easy, but I got one wrong and still 800?

Or maybe I just doubt myself too much.

Just got my sas and 1 wrong in math is 760. Harsh curve.

Off chance anyone knows what question was number 9 section 4 (20 question math section) it says its geometry and measurement with level 2 difficulty (out of 5).

It never came up on discussion (too easy, I presume).

Medicalboy: by the curve I’d say it was easier than usual.

hey does anyone know #19 in section 4 for math by any chance? it was a number and operations questions.
