My email says 7:00 EDT as well.

What time did you get the email? And what region are you from?.. I’m wondering if they sent them out according to region or in different batches or something…

Yeah, mine says 7:00 EDT, too.

It says no sooner than 5:00 Pm EDT. I don’t know what you are talking about.

I live in the east coast, do the people with 7:00 live in the mountain time zone?

I’m in Illinois… it came at 1:12pm central time.

In Seattle (Pacific = Eastern - 3 hours), D’s email read 7:00 Eastern.

Now this is interesting… haha I bet someone will try to make a meaning out of this.

Mine says 5:00 EDT. I live in GMT zone btw.

If you go to [Brown University Admission Decision](http://admissiondecision.brown.edu/), does it still say 7:00 EDT? cause then it’s an entirely different website for you guys.

I got mine 1:15 central time today. I live in Texas.

It wouldn’t make sense for different time zones to receive different EDT times… we would just convert it to our own time zone. This is really weird.

Website for us still says 5. I’m sure it’s meaningless. :)

@impetuous, mine does say 5pm EDT when I click the link in the email. I am seriously so confused now.

Maybe its a typo… Because the decision webpage link from my email was for 5 even though the email itself says 7

I guess it’s just a typo then. Well, I’m alright with 2 hours less of waiting!

maybe the ones whose email said 7PM will be accepted! Congrats you guys :)

really though.

Mine says 6:00 pm…

Also, I’m on the East Coast.

ok then either 5PM or 6PM is a waitlist

I’m a genius.

I’m from the northeast and my email says 5PM.

North East: 5PM
Mid Atlantic & South: 6PM
Mid West, West and Pacific North West: 7PM

As I said, I live in Europe, at GMT time. Why am I 5PM?

and plus the regional difference really doesn’t make sense either since they all say “EDT” at the end anyway.

My theory:
7PM: acceptance
6PM or 5PM: rejection or deferral

Ah I’m bored…

Banker’s theory would make sense since I’m from the mid-atlantic.
