March SAT Math Thread

Was the question with profits/revenues/ $1 million? I remember the first half it was $3 million and the second half was -2 million.

To iceazn, no, there was another with a line graph. I’m pretty sure it was experimental though.

And I got 16x10^3

what was the question for the school avg asking?
was it asking for the avg change in studnets?

I don’t remember the 1/3<r/t<2 at all…its probably experimental

sirena: Yeah, sorry, I just got mixed up.

16 for national debt per person.

2x is the side of what triangle. Does anyone remember the question in more detail?

4 is not divisible by 8, but it is divisible by 2 and 4.

NewAccount, I also got I , II, II for the 8n one. Is it wrong?

Yes so the answer for the which of the three statements is correct (2N is visible by what) is I, II and III

I also got 16x10^3 for the open ended (was confused for a little bit cause it’s not scientific notation).

And I confirm 2 & 4 only for the 2n divisible by 8 question. If n=4 (2*4=8), 4 is only divisible by 4 & 2 and not 8.

NewAccount, the 2x one was experimental too? Or was it?

I think the avg question was 0. I took all the numbers on the graph and took the avg of both schools and took the difference and it came out to be 0.

Yes its 9/25 for the oak trees ration one.

@billabongboy9828, no, I think if 2N was divisible by 8, then what is N divisible by…

For the N is divisible by what question, this is the entire question.

For a value N, 2N must be divisible by 8. Which of the following MUST be true?
I. N is divisible by 8
II. N is divisible by 4
III. N is divisible by 2

Only II and III are correct because N can equal 4.

if n = 4, then it is not divisible by 8.

I confirm 9/25 (.36) also. I believe 1/3<t<2 and 2x are experimental (I had an experimental math but didn’t have either of those).

again I don’t remember 2x at all. bad memory or experimental?

4 is absolute minimum of 3|x-4| + 2

are you sure it was “absolute minimum”?
i remember reading “absolute maximum”, so i put -4.
oh gosh…dyslexia acting up again…

nevermind if its absolute it has to be 4
screwwwwthissssssssssssssss

Yunsang, yes the average was 0. I averaged it out and was 8500 for both lines.

does anybody remember the exact question for the graph which asked something about avg students?

Jersey - add rp - pr = 0 just as a formality.
