March SAT questions discussion

Since so many of us are anxious about our score, why don't we post the questions we remember from the test? Would be nice to compare some answers ^_^.

Lets see:

What is a number that its square is same to its dividing it by 40?
Correct answer is 1/40

A call cost x cents for the first minute. The rest of the call cost y cents. The total cost is 180cents. Whats the equation that shows the number of minutes the call was.
Correct answer is 180 - x = y over y

Which of the following is FALSE

Correct answer is x squared> x cubed> x

More to come later. Please post yours!

If you remember, please share. Thanks.

What is a number that its square is same to its dividing it by 40?
Correct answer is 1/40

The question was actually which number's square root would be equivalent to dividing it by 40. So the answer is 1600.

And have you already forgot about the Official Thread posted like the minute after the SAT with like 1,000 posts on it. I'd check that out.

Link please?

BTW like you said a number whos square is same as the number being divided by 40. 40 divide by 40 is 1 and its sqaure root is 1600. You got it wrong. 1/40 squared = 1/1600 which is similar to 1/40 divde by 1/40. And I was being smart by putting in 0 -_-. Then I realised its 'postives only' There goes my projected 800...sigh

uhhh vehement, your CC name is well put, because you are pretty vehement about your WRONG answer. the answer is 1600.

yeah it is 1600, sorry vehement you got owned

Vehement, dont worry.. ull get ur 800

300 - Writing
300 - Critical Reading
200 - Math

haha alebed01, so messed up, but funny.

What is a number that its square root is same to its dividing it by 40?

square root of 1600 = 40
dividing 1600 by 40 = 40

yep.

Please learn to read. I SAID THE NUMBER'S SQUARE ROOT S SQAURE TO THE NUMBER WHEN IT HAS BEING DIVIDED BY 40. Thus its like this: x^2 = x/40

didn't we already have a damn near 30 page topic on this?...not trying to be rude but PLEASE look past the first page of the board...

the actual question would mean x^(1/2)=x/40, not x^2, but whatever

Vehement: Here's the link to the official March SAT thread:

Thanks for the link.

And my bad for remembering the question wrong. Ad oh Mr. alebed01 it isn't possible to get 200 on math. kthxbai.

Wait... why isnt it possible to get 200 on Math? (I kno it means like bombing ^ 100000 but its not possible?)

:)
