Anyone know if there was a Section 3 writing experimental?
I had 2 35 question writing sections.
The first one (Section 3) was hard and I didn’t even finish —> hoping it may have been experimental

^the section that had a paragraph question about experimenting octupuses is NOT the experimental

I didn’t finish my essay. T-T
I was in the middle of writing my first sentence of my conclusion paragraph and time was up.
I’m hoping my graders will see where I was going with my essay… I felt like the substance of the essay up until that point was good.
I only filled up 1.5 pages, but I did write in cursive. (I’m half-hoping that graders do have biases, half-hoping that they don’t.)

I think I did well on the multiple choice though.

There was one question with the verb “cost”…

“cost” was used in the sentence as past tense therefore the other verb had to be changed to past tense.

anyone remember what that verb was?

-2 and a 10 essay? What’s my projected score?

^Probably really high 700 if not 800. A couple of my friends in the past have gotten somewhere around that and a perfect Writing score.

oh boy I’m getting excited, I hope I didn’t make really stupid mistakes .__.

can someone repost an updated list?

For the depictions/portraits question,

It’s strange that only two people remember the vague pronoun in choice E.

It read “unflattering portraits of their subjects.” Their can refer to either the portraits or the subjects of the patrons. It’s a vague pronoun, which is why I chose C. One other person on this thread also chose C, but it looks like everyone else chose E.

Depictions/portraits does maintain parallelism. You’re still comparing pictures.

Let’s try to have the list on every page.

I disagree on the portrait one. The answer was definitely “E” — the pronoun obviously couldn’t be referencing the subjects since the very next word is subjects. Portraits directly compares to portraits.

I’m confused. Were the following in the experimental section, or are they just not listed in the post above?

The sentence that started with “That the…”
The sentence where, “Were he to be given” was the correct choice
The identify the error where it was a diction error involving evolve vs. involve

Does anyone remember what else was in the experiemental section?

I remember some of those, though I didn’t have experimental.

I remember the “were he to be given” one.

so should we add the “Were he to be given” one to the list?

“were he to be given” was not experimental

Ok I updated to add that.
