I'm at a crossroads here, I don't know what I want to major in so I'm asking for opinions. I'm pretty strong in computers and technology in general but marketing also kind of interests me. I was wondering, which is a better major/career to have? Is there good money in both or which major makes the most money?

after being taking a couple of information systems classes, i strongly think the major is a waste. all the material was so watered down, its essentially useless in the real world. the only career path available with this major is consulting. if you want to do consulting and want to ‘work with technology,’ do information systems. personally, if you want to do work with technology, id say do computer science or computer engineering. it will be MUCH more valuable in the long run. youd be surprised how many higher-ranking business people majored in a technical field like computer science/engineering as an undergraduate. it is my opinion that technical undergraduates they do better than business undergraduates (in the tech field) in the long run.

i go to the university of maryland in college park, so the program isnt rated that high … that couldve been part of the problem.

i know almost nothing about marketing … so i wont comment. but trust me … stay away from information systems.
