I'm currently a third-year Business major trying to decide what I should have my concentration be. I always thought Information Systems would be a good fit for me because coming to college, I originally tried majoring in Computer Science in the hopes of someday getting into the video game industry. Unfortunately, I didn't really shine so much in the programming field so I decided to switch to Business and thought information systems would be the closest thing to Computer Science that I can study at this point in the hopes of getting into video games. However, I feel as though I'm beginning to like Marketing since I'm currently taking both an information system and Marketing class this quarter. Although I'm doing better in my Marketing class, I believe that I find Information Systems more interesting. Although this could be due to the professors I have this quarter. However, I would assume that Marketing is also a very important aspect of the video game industry so maybe Marketing would be the better choice? Or would Information Systems be better since it deals with computers which is what the video game industry is mostly based on. Which concentration seems to have a brighter future and provide more job opportunities? Thank you for your time.

I think it’s important to look at the job opportunities for each concentration. And I think you will find more in information systems
